She had no idea, but she thought the guys there must be cute, because their waiter was HOT. She felt her customary annoyance as Carina flipped her hair and threw on a thick accent while flirting shamelessly with the waiter. For the moment, it appeared her detainee love affair was forgotten…

…Prior to meeting each one, I would hear stories about what many of these people had supposedly done wrong in the past (the deed that their career would never recover from), and while there was always a shadow of mystery surrounding what created their tarnished status, some of the worst offenses one could be brought down for were either involving finances or sex. True or not, it did not matter, once the charge was levied, it was permanent. It was called a “hall file” – a mysterious record of the bad behavior that even The Blacklisted himself had no idea about. Anyone who was less inclined to think for themselves would believe the rumors, but I have always had a soft spot for underdogs…

…She can talk your ear off and leave you wondering why you didn’t turn and run when you had the chance. She is prone to office meltdowns, occasional sobbing spells, and is an overall mess. She is also strangely obsessed with what she eats. She can spend hours discussing every bite of food she has consumed in recent weeks, days or hours (conveniently omitting the copious amounts of anti-depressants she inhales)…

…Her light, cooing manner of speech was only slightly less annoying than her propensity to read between the lines of anything anyone ever said to her, twisting each conversation she had into something completely inappropriate and somehow sexual. Annie considered herself a very bright girl, and she was on an endless quest to prove it. The scariest part about Annie was that the Agency knew she had psychological issues and should not be there, but they preferred to “pass the trash” and shuffled her from meaningless job to meaningless job as a way to not deal with her. Until enough time had passed that short memories would prevail and she would be placed in an overseas station where she could do the most harm to national security…
